We are thrilled to celebrate Christopher “Topher” Tanjutco as our September Honor Roll inductee. A recent graduate from the Gloucester Campus of Camden County Technical School in New Jersey, Topher’s two years as an NTHS member have been nothing short of remarkable.
Serving as a SkillsUSA chapter officer and committee chair, he demonstrated his passion and dedication by competing in the SkillsUSA New Jersey State Leadership and Skills Conference, where he won a gold medal in Technical Drafting.
His accomplishments didn’t stop there—at the National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), Topher successfully passed the Autodesk Certified User Exam for Fusion 360, further showcasing his technical prowess.
Topher’s commitment to his school and community is evident in his efforts to establish a booster club for NTHS and other Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). His leadership and initiative have left a lasting impact on his peers and the school community.
Reflecting on his experience with NTHS, Topher shares, “As a member for two years, my experience with NTHS has left me with countless memories to carry forward into my future endeavors. Whether hosting community events, volunteering to set up ceremonies, or just breaking the ice with my peers in meetings, I never regret the hours spent there. Being part of the National Technical Honor Society is not just a certificate to put on a resume, but a wonderful community that will treat you like family and bring you breathtaking experiences, for NTHS excels at the one element that controls the world: love.”
Beyond his academic and extracurricular achievements, Topher is a triplet, with both of his brothers also proudly serving as NTHS members. In his free time, he enjoys reading novels and manga, working with 3-D modeling software, and weightlifting. Now, as a freshman at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, Topher is pursuing a major in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, a field that aligns with his passion for innovation and exploration.
In his own words, Topher offers this advice to current and future NTHS members: “Your journey in NTHS or CTE may take different pathways and lead to different doorways, but I can assure you that the ending will always be the same: beautiful and full of fun memories to cherish.”
We are incredibly proud to honor Christopher “Topher” Tanjutco as our September Honor Roll inductee and wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.
