Georgia Piedmont College has a rich history of providing the Atlanta metro area with a skilled workforce, and when N. Andre David joined the college staff, he embraced this mission wholeheartedly.
“Career and Technical Education is important to me because it produces employees who are the backbone and pulse of our economy. CTE is a critical foundation of the American economy, and this essential workforce resource makes us strong. There is an intrinsic reward and personal pride in being part of the engine that drives our economy,” said David.
Mr. David has been an NTHS advisor for four years and believes NTHS is important because it sets a benchmark for educational professionals by recognizing students as the best of the best
It goes beyond classroom assessment, representing the culmination of a student’s academic achievement, proven work ethic, and solid character that is recognized nationwide.
He serves as the lead instructor and faculty advisor for the business management and human resources department and is currently the interim director for Veterans and International Students Affairs and Community Relations. He oversees multiple co-curricular organizations at Georgia Piedmont.
Outside of GPTC, Mr. David is devoted to his family and is working toward completing his PhD in higher education administration.
“NTHS has impacted my school and community by setting a standard of excellence. The campus and community service opportunities initiated by my students have spread to other clubs and organizations. This year, the NTHS chapter has launched a growing Student Leadership Academy and has been asked to develop it for online students. Our community partnerships have also inspired plans to create a food pantry to serve food-insecure student populations. We are GPTC!”
Thank you, N. Andre David, for being an inspiration to your students and your community.
