Destinations Career Academy of Wisconsin (DCA) is a tuition-free, online public school that combines virtual instruction with opportunities for on-site career experiences and participation in student organizations. Among these organizations is the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), which provides students with unique opportunities to excel and grow.

William Brazier, a business and IT teacher, serves as the NTHS advisor at DCA. He takes great pride in the impact NTHS has on his students.

“NTHS allows students with common interests to collaborate and complete meaningful and relevant activities. NTHS is important because it celebrates student achievement in CTE, provides opportunities for growth, and helps students succeed in both their academic and professional lives. NTHS has given students the opportunity to meet others with common interests and learn more about each other. They have been able to collaborate on like-minded activities. The students have also been able to share their knowledge on various topics with the entire student body.”

Mr. Brazier’s dedication has not gone unnoticed. He was nominated by Dylan VandeKieft, who praises him for his positivity, respect for all officers and members, and his tireless efforts to support the DCA NTHS chapter. “Mr. Brazier makes sure every member feels included and valued,” VandeKieft notes. “He always starts meetings with a smile and greets each student individually.”

The DCA NTHS chapter is a dynamic group that raises funds for all Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and sponsors community service projects across Wisconsin. These initiatives help students apply their CTE skills and prepare for their post-high school journey, whether it’s enrollment, enlistment, or employment.

Beyond his role as a teacher and advisor, Mr. Brazier enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, two children, and their energetic American foxhound. He also loves playing pickleball, camping, and attending aviation events.

Thanks to Mr. Brazier’s guidance and advocacy, DCA students are empowered to spread their wings and soar to new heights!
