Celebrating the Faces Behind Career & Technical Education
CTE doesn’t happen without people like you.
This CTE Month, we’re celebrating the students, advisors, and educators who make Career & Technical Education what it is. The people who believe that hands-on learning opens doors to opportunity and helps students see what’s possible.
Across the country, members of our community shared photos holding a simple message: I am CTE. Each one represents real impact, from students gaining confidence to classrooms becoming true career pathways, and futures taking shape because someone took the time to invest.
Our CTE Month video brings those moments together. It’s a reminder that behind every program is someone who cares deeply about student success, and behind every success story is an advisor or educator who helped make it happen.
This month we celebrate CTE and the leaders who champion these programs - the advisors who guide students forward, and the educators who connect learning to real careers. Your work is shaping futures in ways that reach far beyond your classroom or program.
Thank you for everything you do to support CTE and NTHS while serving your students. This celebration reflects your commitment, your impact, and the difference you make every day.
This is CTE; and together - We are CTE!

Healthcare: Innovation, Impact and Leadership in Action
Healthcare is evolving fast, and many of the most important changes are happening in ways students might not expect.
Today, healthcare teams use remote patient monitoring to track vital signs from home, helping catch complications earlier and reduce hospital stays. AI tools are also supporting earlier detection of conditions like cancer and heart disease. At the same time, critical behind-the-scenes roles such as sterile processing, health information technology, and patient care coordination are essential to patient safety and quality care.
Leadership in healthcare shows up long before a job title includes the word “manager.” Professionals lead by educating patients, coordinating care, solving problems in real time, and supporting community health efforts like screenings and outreach programs. These same leadership skills are reinforced through organizations like HOSA, a valued CTSO partner that helps students explore healthcare careers while building confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose through competition, service, and collaboration.
For NTHS members, healthcare pathways offer early exposure to these realities through clinical experiences, certifications, and hands-on training. Students are building technical skills alongside communication, teamwork, and professionalism that healthcare employers value.

From Student Leader to Advisor
Pamela Wagner's Full-Circle Journey with NTHS
Pamela Wagner’s journey with the National Technical Honor Society is a powerful example of how leadership, service, and commitment can come full circle. From her beginnings as an NTHS member, to serving as Georgia’s State President at the student level, and now giving back as an NTHS Advisor, Pamela’s story reflects the lasting impact NTHS has on students and educators alike.
Pamela currently serves as an NTHS Advisor at Southern Regional Technical College in Tifton, Georgia. Her connection to NTHS is deeply personal. She began her NTHS journey in August 2021 after returning to college later in life through Career and Technical Education. Through CTE, Pamela completed extensive coursework that equipped her with practical skills and opened doors to new career pathways, reinforcing her belief that education should always be used to serve others.
Her dedication to NTHS quickly grew beyond membership. As a student, Pamela served as a chapter president, then advanced to the state level where she held roles including Vice President/Historian before being elected State President. These leadership opportunities allowed her to strengthen her public speaking, advocacy, and READ MORE>>
