As a career and technical student, you are already experiencing the importance of preparing for the workforce, but how do you express the importance to your parents, school, and community? CTE Month is a great way to do just that!
February is CTE Month, and it is an excellent time for students, educators, and administrators to raise awareness of CTE programs.

February is right around the corner, and it's time to start thinking about how you can celebrate CTE Month. A great way to commemorate CTE Month is to recognize an impactful individual in your CTE community with an Honorary Membership into NTHS.

Awarding someone with an Honorary NTHS Membership is a great way to thank them and bring awareness to CTE, your chapter, and your programs.
Honorary Members receive a custom certificate, frame, an honorary membership pin, and a letter of congratulations from our Executive Director!
To recognize an Honorary Member in your community during CTE Month, just ask your advisor to log in to the advisor portal and click on "Register Honorary Members."

Jeff Herndon has been in education for 21 years as a teacher, counselor, and most recently, the CTSO Coordinator at Canadian Valley Technology Center. Jeff has been the NTHS advisor there for the past 21 years and is proud of his chapter's participation in NTHS, with a large percentage of the student body nominated as members.
He believes that organization is the key to successfully and efficiently managing an NTHS chapter. However, he also depends on his colleagues for help and truly attributes his chapter's success to the staff, faculty, and students at CV Tech.
