Introducing the Rubin Education Scholarship!
|
Two new $1,000 scholarships tied to real-world communication skills
|
|
|
NTHS members can now apply for the Rubin Education Scholarship, a $1,000 award created in partnership with Rubin Education, the makers of the Propel professional email tool.
This scholarship gives you the chance to improve your communication skills while competing for a scholarship. To qualify, complete a short email-writing challenge inside the Propel by Rubin tool. Once you reach a qualifying score, you will unlock access to apply for the Rubin Education Scholarship directly in the NTHS Member Portal.
Before you can begin, your Advisor must set up a meeting with the Rubin team to activate Propel access for your chapter. Talk to your Advisor to get your access code.
Strengthen your professional skills, build your confidence, and take the first step toward earning the new Rubin Education Scholarship.

Chapter Awards Program: Celebrate Your Success!

The NTHS Chapter Awards Program recognizes outstanding chapters and gives you a chance to support your chapter and receive national recognition!
Chapters may be awarded at three levels:
- Foundational Chapter Award
- Silver Star of Excellence Award
- Core Four Excellence Awards
Applications for the 2025-26 cycle are due by April 15, 2026 (submitted by advisors only).

ROTC Students Lead with Purpose and Pride

Did you know that more than half of all U.S. military officers first discovered their leadership potential through Junior ROTC programs in high school? These students practice teamwork, discipline, and accountability, skills that help them excel in any career field they pursue.
As Veterans Day reminds us of the value of service, it is the perfect time to highlight how ROTC and Career & Technical Education connect. Many ROTC students explore related pathways such as Law & Public Safety, Health Science, or STEM. These programs help them gain experience that strengthens their confidence and readiness for the future.

- The U.S. Army’s Junior ROTC program serves more than 300,000 students across 1,700 schools nationwide.
- About 30 percent of JROTC cadets continue into military service, while many others use their leadership training to excel in college or careers in engineering, healthcare, and public service.
- The U.S. military is one of the nation’s largest providers of technical education and training, offering over 200 specialized career paths ranging from aviation to cybersecurity.
- Many innovations we use every day, including GPS and advanced medical trauma care, were developed through military research and technology programs.

Know Your School's Regalia Rules
Before ordering your NTHS graduation regalia, be sure you understand your school’s expectations, including which items are approved, who will cover the cost, and whether orders should be placed individually or as a group.
Check with your advisor to find out if your chapter is submitting a group order (which can help save on shipping) or if you should order individually through the NTHS Store.
It’s also smart to double-check any school or district rules about specific colors, cords, or stoles allowed for graduation. Knowing these details early means no surprises later!
