Introducing the Rubin Education Scholarship!

Two new $1,000 scholarships tied to real-world communication skills

NTHS is excited to announce the new Rubin Education Scholarship, a $1,000 opportunity for members made possible through our partnership with Rubin Education, creators of the Propel professional email tool.

 

This scholarship helps students build strong communication skills while earning a chance to win. To qualify, members will complete a short email-writing challenge inside the Propel by Rubin tool. Once they reach a qualifying score, they will unlock access to apply for the Rubin Education Scholarship directly in the NTHS Portal.

 

Before students can participate, Advisors must first schedule a meeting with the Rubin team to activate Propel access for their chapter. 

 

This partnership combines career-readiness training with scholarship opportunities that help students gain real-world skills and recognition for their efforts.

Chapter Awards Program: Celebrate Your Success!

The NTHS Chapter Awards Program recognizes outstanding chapters and provides a clear pathway to support student engagement and chapter growth, all aligned with our Core Four Objectives. 

 

Chapters may earn recognition at three levels:

• Foundational Chapter Award
• Silver Star of Excellence Award
• Core Four Excellence Awards 

Applications can be submitted via PDF, Google Docs, or Google Form, and full details are available on our website. 

To be considered for the Silver Star of Excellence Award, chapters must demonstrate excellence in all areas of the Core Four Objectives. Core Four Excellence Awards are selected as the “best of the best” from Silver Star submissions.

 

Note: Prior applications do not carry over; a new application must be submitted annually.

ROTC Students Lead with Purpose and Pride

Did you know that more than half of all U.S. military officers first discovered their leadership potential through Junior ROTC programs in high school? These students practice teamwork, discipline, and accountability, skills that help them excel in any career field they pursue.

Graduation Regalia Reminder

Please make sure your members know your school’s graduation regalia expectations, ie. what’s approved, who covers the cost, and how orders should be placed. Let students know if you’ll be submitting a group order (which can save on shipping costs) or if they should order individually through the NTHS store.

 

It’s also a good idea to clarify any school or district requirements ahead of time, like specific colors, cords, or stoles that are approved for graduation. Sharing these details early helps students avoid ordering the wrong items or needing to make returns later. A quick reminder now saves everyone time and stress down the road!
