Students missed the deadline?
|
Each year, the JHP online application shuts down automatically at midnight EST on May 1 and late applications are not accepted. However, the scholarship window re-opens on September 1 and current members will be able to apply, even if they are graduating seniors. All members have access to their member benefits for six months after their graduation date.
|

Still Time to Induct 2022 Members!
|
Miss a few students who are eligible? New students meeting the eligibility requirements? Students missed their nomination email? Student late paying?
Every year, we have advisors that call us, frantic because they think they've missed the deadline to induct new members! But you still have time. You can induct new members at any point in the school year - there is no national deadline! You can induct one member... or 500. Simply log in to the Portal and click "Register Members" to get started!

Remind your students to order their graduation regalia as soon as possible, to avoid shipping delays.
Advisors, be sure to log in if you are ordering for students (the purchase order option is only available when logged in. Payment is due within 30 days).
*Please note only nationally recognized and inducted NTHS members are eligible to wear our regalia.*

New NTHS Honor Roll Inductee!
|
|
|
|
|
This month’s NTHS Honor Roll spotlight is for our NTHS Board of Directors Historian, Dr. Greg Winters!
Dr. Winters recently received the highest Career & Technical Education honor awarded in the state of Oklahoma, induction into the Oklahoma Career Tech Hall of Fame. Dr. Winters’ 44-year career as an Oklahoma educator has left a tremendous impact across the state and country, having served in various roles ranging from teacher, coach, principal, superintendent, and board member for numerous organizations and associations.

“He is a master at building relationships, including those with community stakeholders,” said Dr. Gayla Lutts, Superintendent of Canadian Valley Technology Center and Chair-Elect of the NTHS Board of Directors. “Dr. Winters quickly becomes an integral part of every community with which he is associated. This is due to his ability to make friends quickly with his larger-than-life, charismatic personality.”
For 26 years, Dr. Winters has been an integral part of the National Technical Honor Society community as a member of our board of directors. “His passionate belief in the importance of honoring and empowering CTE students has helped NTHS impact over 1 million members. We could not have asked for a better advocate, leader, and friend,” said Peyton Holland, Executive Director of NTHS.
We are grateful to have such distinguished and passionate educators serving on our board and helping guide the vision of our organization. Congratulations to Dr. Greg Winters!

Registration Deadline Date
|
If you still have students "awaiting submission" and the application deadline date is getting close, you can send them a reminder email right from the registration page. Also on the registration page, you may extend the application deadline date for your students at any time.
