Recognition Starts with Registration
Make Student Achievement Official - Register Your Members Soon
Each year, advisors nominate students who demonstrate excellence in Career and Technical Education through skill, leadership, service, and commitment to their pathway. Nomination is meaningful, but registration is what makes NTHS membership official.
When students are registered, they gain access to scholarships, leadership opportunities, graduation regalia, and national recognition. Registration ensures their accomplishments are not only acknowledged locally but celebrated as part of a national community of CTE excellence.
As graduation season approaches, now is the perfect time to review your nominee list and complete member registrations. Recognition starts with nomination, but it becomes lasting through submitting your registration.

Product of the Month - NTHS Graduation Regalia
Make Student Achievement Visible on Graduation Day
Graduation is one of the most visible and meaningful moments to recognize NTHS membership. Official graduation regalia allows students to proudly represent their achievement while reinforcing the value of career and technical education in front of families, school leaders, and the community.
Schools approach regalia in different ways. Some chapters purchase items for members as part of recognition efforts, while others provide students with ordering information so they can purchase individually. Either approach works well when expectations and timelines are clearly communicated early.
As you prepare for graduation season, now is the ideal time to finalize your plan and share details with students and families.

Don't Forget to Honor Your Chapter Officers
Chapter officers play a vital role in building a strong NTHS chapter. From organizing activities to leading service and supporting fellow members, these students help shape the culture of your program.
Many chapters recognize their officers with NTHS medallions, giving these student leaders a distinctive symbol of their role and service. Worn at graduation, medallions provide a visible way to honor the leadership that helped guide your chapter throughout the year.

Where Creativity Meets Competition
March brings competition, excitement, and unforgettable moments, and Audio/Visual Arts & Communications students are often the ones capturing and sharing the action. Through media production, sports marketing, and live event coverage, students build technical and creative skills while helping tell the story behind each event.
In this pathway, students gain hands-on experience filming games, producing highlight reels, managing social media promotion, and serving as announcers for school events. Along the way, they strengthen communication, teamwork, and project management skills that transfer across industries.
Tournament season creates a natural opportunity for advisors to connect classroom learning to real-world applications. Students can analyze marketing strategies, develop promotional content, or produce live coverage that showcases school spirit while building professional portfolios.
From broadcasting and digital media to sports marketing and communications careers, students learn that success in competition extends beyond the court. The work happening behind the camera and microphone plays an important role in creating the full experience.

Service in Action at Dodd City High School

Small Chapter Delivers Big Impact with Fund2Org Shoe Drive
At Dodd City High School in Northeast Texas, the National Technical Honor Society chapter is proving that impact is not determined by size. With just 15 active members in a district serving roughly 315–375 students, this small but dedicated chapter has achieved extraordinary results.
Last fall, members voted during a chapter meeting to participate in the NTHS National Shoe Drive Campaign through Funds2Orgs. They initially hoped to collect a few hundred pairs of gently used shoes. What followed became a powerful example of student leadership and community engagement.
After launching the drive-in late October and promoting it on school social media, community support quickly grew. A local Boy Scout troop contributed 15 bags of shoes from its own collection efforts, giving the chapter an early boost. As donations continued, the chapter extended the drive into the spring semester and used an extra classroom on campus to store the growing collection.
By the campaign’s conclusion on March 1, the 15-member chapter had collected nearly 38 bags, totaling approximately 925–950 pairs of shoes. They also received monetary donation from an anonymous community supporter. For a chapter of this size, collecting nearly 1,000 pairs of shoes is READ MORE>>
