South Caldwell High School has achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning the prestigious Core Four Excellence Award in the area of Career Development in the NTHS Chapter Awards Program. This award recognizes the school's innovative and effective initiatives to prepare students for successful futures.
Under the guidance of advisor Gina Kincaid, South Caldwell's NTHS chapter implemented a variety of career readiness activities. These included the weekly "Work-It Wednesday" sessions and "VR CareerQuest" FLEX activities, where students utilized NCcareers.org for career assessments and engaged with virtual reality job exploration tools.

The Career Center also offered practical workshops on job search skills, resume writing, and interview techniques, supplemented by hands-on experiences with professional attire and mock interviews.
These comprehensive programs have significantly enhanced students' career readiness, providing them with valuable skills and insights into their future career paths. The dedication of the NTHS chapter at South Caldwell High School exemplifies the commitment to fostering career development among its members.
Congratulations to South Caldwell High School for this remarkable achievement and for setting a high standard in career development education!

NTHS Honor Roll: Mindy Rose
Students at University View Academy, Louisiana’s largest school, are afforded many educational and co-curricular options. Veteran teacher Mindy Rose ensures NTHS is one of them.
“With the implementation of NTHS at our school, the impact has been very positive - allowing not only students to know about NTHS, but also the community to get involved, and it has showcased the availability of other organizations available for students," she said.
Mindy has taught for 14 years and has been a DECA advisor for 10. She is glad that she added NTHS five years ago.
“Many students did not know about NTHS. So many want to be part of something, but many don't make the cut for some honor societies. The students that have become members have found a brighter day and tend to do better because someone said they could be a member of an honor society.”
