Welcome back, Advisors! We hope you have had an amazing summer. The 2024 school year was outstanding, thanks to each of you! We hit a record 65,000+ new members, awarded more scholarships than ever before, and received outstanding applications for our Chapter Awards Program that showed the incredible work happening in each of your chapters. We cannot wait to start the new year with you and help impact students across Career & Technical Education.

Keep your eyes open for new resources, programs, and opportunities for your members in the coming weeks. We are also going to be reaching out to seek your input as part of our new strategic plan development. We want to make sure we are serving you as best we can.
Thank you all so much for the work you do each day to make a difference in the lives of students as they prepare for the next steps in their career journey. It is truly an honor to partner with you!

We've been super busy at the National Technical Honor Society headquarters bringing you lots of new stuff over the last year. Here's a few highlights:
- We had a record-breaking membership year with over 65,000 new members in 2023-2024!
- Introduced a new CTSO scholarship for FFA members
- Partnered with Rubin, the leader in online instruction for employability skills, to provide a free email etiquette tool for our members
- Partnered with CAT Workwear to provide our members with a 25% discount, using the code SFK42VGXYY6S
- NTHS awarded over $300,000 dollars in scholarships to NTHS Members!
- Recognized 14 NTHS Chapters who won the Foundational Chapter Award, 13 who won the Silver Star of Excellence Award and 4 who won the Core Four of Excellence Awards through our new Chapter Awards Program
- Held our annual CTE Month T-Shirt design contest
- Partnered with She Built This City to complete Challenge.gov's Career Z Challenge and became a Semi-Finalist
- Introduced the new NTHS Retractable Banner

NTHS Honor Roll: Carol Kaczmarek
|
|
|
|
|
Our August Honor Roll recipient is someone many of you know, because she helped you get your chapter started and she answers your questions with personalized and detailed emails.
Our very own Carol Kaczmarek is retiring this month after over 21 years of service to NTHS.
Carol started as the bookkeeper at NTHS and was instrumental in instituting inventory control and collection procedures that we still use today. She was then promoted to Chapter Development Director.

In her time with the national office, she has helped induct nearly one million members and add nearly 2,700 new chapters.
Her enthusiasm and passion for NTHS is infectious and one of the things her colleagues will miss about her the most.
“Some people come into your life and just really make their mark; they inspire you to be your best. Carol is that person,” says Customer Service Specialist, Renee Frady.
Executive Director, Peyton Holland says, “Carol is one of the most thorough individuals I have ever worked with. This shows up in her next-level proofreading capabilities. She not only gives Grammarly a run for its money, but can stock you up on all the essential oils for what ails you.”
Carol has taken care of the staff and our advisors for many years now and it is time for her to take care of herself and her family, including her husband Tom and her dog Dixie.
