When you walk the stage wearing NTHS regalia, it shows the hard work, leadership, and commitment behind your journey. As you get ready for graduation, think about how you want to represent everything you’ve accomplished with an honor cord, stole, or graduation set.

 

Before ordering your own regalia, check with your advisor or school administration to determine what regalia is allowed and if you are responsible for your own order.

Finish strong and tell your story with confidence

Scholarship season is your chance to reflect on how far you’ve come and share what sets you apart. A strong application can open doors, so take the time to be thoughtful and intentional in how you present your story.

• Start early so you have time to revise and improve
• Answer every prompt clearly and stay focused on the question
• Use specific examples to show your impact, not just tell it
• Ask someone you trust to review your application
• Proofread carefully to catch errors and clean up your writing

CTE Pathway Spotlight: Agriculture

Building skills that grow beyond the classroom

Agriculture pathways are evolving to meet real needs at both the local and global level, and you get to be part of that. These programs combine hands-on learning with science, technology, and business, giving you a strong foundation for a wide range of careers.

 

You might find yourself working with plant and animal systems, exploring agribusiness, or learning how to manage natural resources. Many programs also introduce tools like GPS mapping, data tracking, and automated systems to help you make smarter, more efficient decisions.

 

Along the way, you’re tackling real-world challenges like food production and sustainability while building skills you can take straight into your future.

Share your impact this Earth Week

Got a project or activity that makes a difference? Share it during Earth Week. You can post around Earth Day (April 22) or anytime that week.

Not Sure what to Post?

• A hands-on project like a garden or greenhouse
• A sustainability effort such as recycling or conservation
• A community partnership project
• A before-and-after showing your impact

Keep it simple. Snap a photo, post it, and show the impact you’re making.

NTHS Students Lead Campus Clean-Up

A Simple Idea that Sparked Lasting Impact

At Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence in Ridgeland, South Carolina, chapter advisor Dorothy Hill-Smith and members of the National Technical Honor Society turned service into action through a campus-wide clean-up initiative that reflected both environmental responsibility and school pride.

Planned during chapter meetings, students identified a clear need within their own school community: maintaining a clean and welcoming campus. They organized a dedicated clean-up day, choosing a time that encouraged strong participation and meaningful impact.

 

Members worked together to pick up litter, clear walkways, and improve shared spaces across campus. The results were immediate. Outdoor areas became more inviting, and the positive impact was visible to the entire school community.

Beyond the physical transformation, the project sparked a deeper sense of responsibility. Students reported a stronger awareness of environmental stewardship and a shared commitment to maintaining their campus.  READ MORE>>
