New NTHS Honor Roll Inductee!

November's NTHS Honor Roll inductee has been involved with NTHS for the past 7 years and has been a CTE teacher for over 20 years. Please join us in recognizing Sarah Kilgo from Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC!
When nominating Sarah, Tiffany Cooper says:
"Sarah was instrumental in starting our NTHS chapter many years ago at Isothermal Community College. Because of her excellent working relationship with our local high schools, she recommended that the college and high schools join together and host one large NTHS Induction Ceremony each year at the college. The ceremony is held at our college's Foundation and Performing Arts Center and is always a big success with over 300 people in attendance.

Sarah's priority at the event, with the assistance of high school personnel, is the coordination of the program on stage making sure all participants know their role and script. Because of her passion for recognizing students and attention to detail, the ceremony is professional and well managed. Thank you Sarah for all you do."

Who should be recognized next?

Is there someone who has made a significant impact on your NTHS chapter? Consider nominating them for the NTHS Honor Roll! Nominees can be NTHS members, advisors, principals, counselors, business partners, NTHS staff, and any other individual you think deserves recognition.

NTHS Eligibility Criteria
|
To be eligible for membership in the National Technical Honor Society, students must meet the national membership criteria, in addition to any additional membership criteria established by the local chapter.
- Candidate must be a secondary or postsecondary student participating in a CTE pathway, program, major or coursework.
- A chapter can choose one of the following GPA criteria. Whichever criteria is chosen, it must be applied consistently across all students in that induction cycle.
- A minimum overall 3.0 unweighted GPA
- A minimum 3.0 CTE specific unweighted GPA
- A minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA both overall and CTE specific
While each chapter may add additional requirements, there are no national requirements for CTSO involvement, attendance, community service hours, or credential attainment. These additions are up to the discretion of the local chapter.
