Jorge Sanchez is a high school senior at Jefferson High School in Tampa, Florida, and has been involved with Career and Technical Education (CTE) for seven years. Jorge also currently serves as the National Vice President of Finance of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)!
He was also one of this year's recipients of the FCCLA/NTHS Scholarship!
We got the opportunity to speak with Jorge about his thoughts on CTE and NTHS and his insight is a great look into the impact that CTE can have on students nationwide.
"Career and Technical Education opened doors in my life that I would have never found otherwise."
Among many other points, Jorge noted that his NTHS chapter hosts events in their community to promote the growth and well-being of their students.
"Allowing students the opportunity to grow and feel their goals are within reach is part of why NTHS has been super important and I care about it."
